MINUTES FOR ACCFCA ANNUAL MEETING

Michael White, permanent treasurer, presiding due to absence of Jeff Kilts.

Chuck Lawrence, permanent secretary, read the minutes from 2006. Approved as read.

Michael White gave the treasurer’s report. Approved as read.

OLD BUSINESS

1. Website – www.accfca.org is the beginning organization website. It cost $75 for domain ownership and $150 to post the site for 3 years. The site is posted with Kevin Lustgarten with links to colleges, jobsites, and Master’s programs for coaches. The association is looking for a couple of tech coaches to help develop the site. There is a link to for an automatic newsletter. It can also create a mailing list. We might be able to vote for Coach of the Year with this site. There are also links to the CCCFCA and NJCFCA.

2. The constitution needs updating. It was suggested that Stan Peters, retired coach, look at the constitution and evaluate and update the document. Motion, second, approved.

3. Chuck Lawrence gave report on 20/40/60 rule of the NCAA and meeting with Grant Teaff in the summer. Meeting went well, no action taken.

NEW BUSINESS

1. California has a new commissioner who may be willing to listen to ideas about a National Championship Game.

2. There is a need for a technical committee to serve as a content conduit for our website. Rob Manchester from Georgia Military will serve as the NJCFCA member and Scott Pollock from Reedley College will serve from the CCCFCA. Both will assist Kevin Lustgarten.

3. Marty Rausch from NATS spoke to the group about their NATS program. He introduced John Arrow. This program is sponsored by the AFCA and is a standardized test for football recruiting.

4. Gary Barlow will be the incoming President from the CCCFCA for 2007.
